GENERATIVE ART
The everchanging nature of generative (semi-)autonomous systems makes them perfect to incorporate in live performances, such as a VJ set, or an interactive art installation. Because of the unpredictability that comes from this techniques I prefer to use the visuals created generatively in the background, with a more determined foreground. The variables used to create visuals can come from a wide range of inputs, I usually use either controlled pseudorandom variables, direct viewer inputs (e.g. live video, depth data, etc.), or in the case of a live VJ set, the music, the audio.
